Necessities: Groceries, medicine shopping.

Piggly Wiggly -- right on 98 behind McDonalds. Everything a grocery store should be, fresh produce, meat, fish, etc. Always good prices. Buy fresh fish caught the night before.

Stores at Strip Mall -- right by the Piggly Wiggly -- local owned candy store, Movie and Game Rentals, Outdoor Equipment Store, and others (across from Dockside Cafe, and the Port St. Joe Marina.

Port St. Joe Marina -- want to try your hand at deep-sea fishing? or just take a take to be on a fishing boat? Large or small -- available to rent, or be on a tour. Reasonable prices -- plus you can get your catch prepared at Dockside Cafe, or frozen to take home with you.

St. Patrick's Fish Market -- ready for some fresh shrimp or scallops? They are on ice from the prior evening's fishing (see the lights on the horizon at night -- those are your local fishermen getting the next day's "catch of the day", shrimp, etc.). They'll tell you how to prepare the fish, etc., or get it ready for you to take back home .....mmmmmmmmm

CVS -- right in Port St. Joe -- everything you need that you may have forgotten -- right in town.

Dollar General Store -- 10 candy bars for $1, paper products, postcards, etc. -- just a quick stop for anything. Right next to CVS on Route 98.

Triple Tails is just opened and already a favorite (so new it has a porta potty!) It is a tiki bar located in Simmons Bayou and recently opened by local realtor Donna Spears. Alaska king crab, oysters, great gumbo, and weekend music.

On Cape San Blas

Coneheads -- just across from the Barrier Dunes Entrance -- breakfast and lunch specials. Homemade grilled burgers. The best!!! Ice cream, and other tasty treats -- also good place for Cape San Blas Souvenirs

BP Station -- great place to grab some BBQ, grilled hot dogs, and other daily specials. Good priced fishing poles, bait, and Tshirts!

Trading Post -- slushies, , milk, juice, break, and other food items. Lots of unique souvenirs -- less than 1 mile from Barrier Dunes

Tip: Add your favorite adult beverage to the slushies for a quick frozen speciality drink, Pina Cola, Strawberry, Orange!
Great for that sunset visit to the beach!!

In Port St. Joe

Dockside Cafe in Port St. Joe will prepare your fresh catch -- or they have scrumptious specials everyday!!! Be sure and ask about the Sunset Cruise for just $10!!! Bring your own beverage!!!

Sunset Coastal Grill -- the nicest place to view the Sunset. Specials from 4-6. Great seafood, and steaks. Great place for a celebration. Lots of history in this place. Local favorite!

Great Wall -- terrific Chinese buffet at lunch, or tasty individual lunch and dinners -- lots of fresh seafood. Family owned. Open 7 days!

Peppers -- new Mexican restaurant on Reid Street. Margarita Tuesdays! great atmosphere, fantastic food. Family owned. Open 7 days!

Hungry Howies -- Pizza, Calzones, filled breadsticks, and THE  BEST Salads (enough for 2). Order for take out and eat at the picnic bench by the park next door. Watch the boats come in. Terrific views!

McDonald's -- ice cream, McRibs, and all the favorites -- on Hwy 98 at entrance to Piggly Wiggly strip mall.

Subway -- all the favorites -- right on Hwy 98

Ice Cream and Lunch shop - right downtown -- homemade ice cream, and lunch specials -- home cooked food

Thirsty Goat -- at the Port Inn -- Happy Hour  5 to 7pm -- meet the locals, have a free appetizer, enjoy a drink special.

Port Inn -- right on Hwy 98 at the red light. Ask about free bicycle rentals -- pedal around the town to visit the local antique shops and get an ice cream or a snack.

Palm Tree Books -- St. Joe's version of Starbucks! Only better. Enjoy a latte, sit on the porch, or inside and browse for your favorite author, and purchase handmade jewelry, art, etc., by local artists.

Excellent upscale restaurant and bar.  2nd floor with gorgeous view of Gulf and lovely sunsets.  This is the place for a special occasion. While at the Windmark Beach mall, stop in at St. Joseph's Cottage for some beautiful local crafts, souvenirs, beach clothing, etc.

In Apalachicola
A short drive to an historical river town. See the sights, grab a bite, buy a unique souvenir. Oyster Capital of the World!!

World Famous Big Fish Sandwich Shop: Right on the main street. Also, best oysters po' boy!!!

Terra's -- Specialty Cafe -- something different and tasty --

Carolines by the River -- fine dining right on the river. Enjoy a special night with someone special at Carolines!

Gibson Inn Restaurant -- back to Old Florida Times -- big porch, layed back atmosphere. Be pampered. Enjoy the evening!

Boutiques, Maritime Museums, Antique Shops, AND the Dixie Theater -- showing first run movies, and Theater Plays -- this is a local favorite and is a non profit, ran by the good citizens of Apalachicola.

In Wewahitchka
A short drive to purchase some of that special Florida Tupelo honey and visit another Florida river down. Fishing, boating, etc.

Tupelo Honey -- Yes, this is the honey that NEVER crystallizes -- right in our little part of Florida. Wewahitchka. Made Famous from the movie "Eulee's Gold" with Peter Fonda -- filmed right in this little town!

In Panama City Beach -- looking for a day of excitement? or a day to get out of the sun? Find Mini Golf, Go Karts, Mall shopping, Hydroplanes, etc.etc.


Only about a 45 minute drive.
